Railfest 2008
The day started out with a planned stop at the high bridge. Unfortunately
the 315 was behind schedule climbing into Rockwood and the planned stop
was not to be. We ended up running all the way to Silverton as there was
too much traffic behind us to make any stops. Needless to say all of my
shots on the way up were from the train. I did hear that the crew enjoyed
the pretty much non-stop trip to Silverton. If I was in the cab I would
probably like that too.
Here we are in Silverton and the crew is tying down our consist so that
the 315 can participate in the meet at the depot.
The second train pulled by the 480 is backing down to the wye to be turned.
The first train pulled by 481 is backing into position for the meet
at the depot.
