At milepost 12, Russell, was a spot for trains to meet. The sidng here
was almost 700' in length. There was also a 270' spur here that could be used
to set out cars. This view is looking southwest at about milepost 12.
The 270' spur was to the right of the 318A sign. I noticed several spikes
in view along this short spur. The main and the siding was to the left of
the sign. Out of the shot on the left is a power substation.
The opposite view to the northwest and the grade shrinks down to pass through
a small cut. The site of Russell is very easy to find being right underneath
the Flagstaff - Prescott 230KV line.
