From this vantage point one can see just about all of the grade on over
to B44A the butterfly trestle. The slide conditions on this portion of the
line are also apparent. In the background is the hillside that required numerous
bridges on the way up to Matterhorn. The ledge for the highway is just visible

On the mountainside above the grade a waterfall plunged down the rock face.
