The brass piece is the horizontal section of the axle pump. The shiny piece is the pump plunger made of 303 stainless that has been polished. December 26, 2022.
These are the three main parts of the axle pump body that will be soldered together before further machining can occur. December 27, 2022.

The upper fitting will fit at the bottom of the pump and attach the water supply line. The lower fitting will cap off the top of the pump to hold in the spring and ball for the check valve. December 28, 2022.
The 1/16" carbide cutters came in so the slot in the pump plunger was cut. There is also a cross drilled hole to attach the eccentric strap. December 30, 2022.
The eccentric strap is still bolted to the fixture that was mounted in the lathe chuck to bore the hole (about 1.5" diameter). The outer profile will need to be machined next. December 31, 2022.
