489 looks like she is ready to battle the snow up on Cumbres Pass on October 17, 1998.  A light dusting of snow the night before made for some excellent scenery on this run.  Most of the snow melted off by mid afternoon.  The train was a triple header with 463 on lead followed by 489 and the road engine 484.  Seems like 489 should have taken the lead with the plow.
