An overall view of the lower rear portion of the tower. Photo by Dave Dye on July 7, 2015.

A view of the backside at the north east corner showing the bracing detail above the roof line. Note the can at the lower right covering the exhaust pipe for the hoist engine. Photo by Dave Dye on July 7, 2015.

This view shows the mid section and the south east corner at the roof line. Photo by Dave Dye on July 7, 2015.

This view at the north east corner is a little higher up with ends of the sloping bin beams shown. Photo by Dave Dye on July 7, 2015.

A similar view at the south east corner with a access ladder visible in the middle behind the bucket cables. Photo by Dave Dye on July 7, 2015.

The bottom of the hopper taken from the north side of the tower. In this view some of the bottom bracing is visible. Also note the catwalk with grab iron and hand rail between the bucket guide beams and the rear vertical beams of the hopper. Photo by Dave Dye on May 28, 1989.

A shot of the rear of the structure at about the same level as the prior shot. The bucket guides are visible here and also the cables running up the center of the guide frame.  The roof of the shed is just visible in the lower portion of the shot. Photo by Dave Dye on May 28, 1989.

The south side of the structure near the shed roof line. The beams emerging out of the structure are the braces for the sand tower out of the shot. I wonder what the round object is up under the hopper? Also note the light switch under the electrical box on the corner post. A standard switch box is about 4" long which makes the corner post appear to be 8" wide.  Looks to be a faded outline of a Rio  Grande herald on the shed wall. Photo by Dave Dye on May 28, 1989.

A little out of focus but it provides an overview of the lower front section. Photo by Dave Dye on May 28, 1989.

This shot shows the coal chute and gate lift mechanism. Photo by Dave Dye on May 26, 1990.
