Bridge 46-D
High Line

Heading up the high line, the grade
passed through a large cut before proceeding out onto the longest
bridge known as 46-D. In this shot the grade suddenly ends as we look
to the west across the 46-D bridge site. Photo by Dave Dye on August

Large timbers from the numerous bents
litter the hill side as we continue upgrade towards Matterhorn. Photo

A portion of a bent still stands at
the lower end of the trestle. Photo by Dave Dye on August 21, 2010.

As we break out of the trees, the
rocky outcropping that supported the Matterhorn end of the trestle
comes into view. The rock slide has carried most of the timbers from
this section down far below. Photo by Dave Dye on August 21, 2010.

A telegraph pole still stands at the
upper end of 46-D. Photo by Dave Dye on August 21, 2010.
