I started the day by driving up to Silverton
from Durango. As I got closer to Silverton it started getting very foggy
on the road. I was hoping that this wouldn't last too long but only time
My first sighting of the 315 was on the siding on the north side of the depot.
There were quite a few photographers gathering already so I used this boxcar
to try and get an unobstructed shot of the locomotive. I wanted to try and
get one of those early morning steam shots.
A few minutes later the 315 was on the move and ready to couple up to
the consist. Silverton has a gloomy look with the fog hanging overhead.
The 315 with just a few feet to go in order to hook up with the consist
for the day.
This is a poorly exposed shot but I like the eerie look of it.
