Milepost 16 was the site of a passing siding known as Bodkin. The siding
was 888' long.
The siding started at the end of the tangent to the west (behind me) and
then extended around the curve at the far end of this shot. Today it is not
much more than a wide spot in the road.
A view of the San Francisco Peaks and Red Rock Country from Bodkin. That
would have been a nice view from a passenger car heading to Jerome.
